Chiropractic is a non-invasive, all natural approach to healing. Because chiropractic is non-invasive, you will not have the side effects that you might have with medications. You also will not have the risks associated with surgery.

One of the most encouraging trends to date is the recognition that chiropractic care and alternative medicine is receiving overall in the healthcare industry.

In a recent study conducted by the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, they determined the following:

  • 45% of respondents used some form of alternative care in the last year

  • 20% of those who haven't used alternative care expect to or would consider doing so in the future

There are two broad degrees of disease: acute and chronic. Doctors of chiropractic treat them both. Some acute problems are emergency, life-threatening situations, requiring immediate intervention with powerful drugs or surgery. It is in this area of acute problems that the medical doctor's skills are most helpful. But less serious problems as well as the majority of chronic problems constitute the great bulk of the pains, complaints and miseries of the human race and in general, respond well to chiropractic care.

The sensible approach to any disease condition is to utilize the most conservative intervention, which will reverse the disease momentum. While chiropractors do not perform surgery, they do recognize the need and value of many surgical procedures, and often refer patients for surgery. If your condition is determined to not be a chiropractic problem, we will assist you in the referral process to a provider that can assist in extended services and diagnostic procedures.  This is done within your first few visits and is predicated on your response to care.

Should your condition be of a more serious nature, our office can refer you for an MRI, and coordinate that referral with your insurance company.

There are two types of treatable injuries; congenital and acquired. Congenital conditions are present at birth. That does not mean that you will not respond to treatment. Patience may be required though. Very often we see conditions that have existed for numerous years, and the patient expects to have the problem fixed in short order. While we always strive to accommodate our patients, some injuries and conditions require special treatment protocols. Acquired conditions would include falls, work injuries or automobile injuries, to name just a few. Our offices routinely deal with these issues.
